Reflective Learning Journal_WEEK 6

10 minute Micro Presentation

The main points I have learnt from this session / assessment are:

Today I actively participated in various 10 minute micro sessions. This was a great opportunity to experience first hand everyones different skills and ideas. Varying from a Building a house of cards,(which was tricky but fun!) I  found the hand out was very clear and easy to understand.There was also a follow-up link if you wanted to find out more, which I felt was useful!

Also another student presented us with more of an abstract idea that promoted us to create and image then reflect on it,which was interesting. There was an engaging game of musical chairs that everyone participated in and the purpose of it was to promote a photographing technique.

How I could develop my practical skills as a result of this session / assessment:

Through participating in these sessions i will think about the various individual learning styles and reflect on them, as to which one I feel could possible help me to expand on my own project.

How I could develop my knowledge and understanding as result of this session / assessment:

Over the next  week I will build on my prior learning and begin to structure my micro session.

AIM: Make your Own Blog/Interactive Sketch book

My tools: computer/scanner/video camera
6-week scheme of work
Student assessment
An introduction to a computer/scanner/web camera/internet!
Getting online and getting a email!
What is a blog/Examples? E.g. word press why people use blog
Do a mind map of ways that the student could use a creative blog.
Then have a 5 min chat about it.

Objectives

• Basic understanding what is the theory of using technology, safely.
• Basic Understanding on how to use technology creatively.
• Getting a email address.
• Being able to have a basic understanding on how to Upload and Image.
• Write a small sentece on what the intend to use the blog for and input it into a blog.
• Go onto youtube and upload a movie?

Outcomes

• Student will Interact with technology, safely.
• Student will learn to use a computer/and intoduction to internet
• Student will set an email account
• Student will have a basic understanding on how to Upload and Image.
• Student will create a small sentence/paragraph with their objective on why the want to use a blog.
